Samples

Okay, this might be a stupid question, but I see a lot of sample CDs on sale @ EBay. Most of them say loops and samples for the Mpc 2000 or 4000. The 1000 can use any loops that are of WAV format correct? I'm just looking for some reassurance. I don't wanna buy a sample CD that won't work for my equipment. Thanks.

Correct...

If the sample CD has pgm files for the 2k then they will load into the 1000 also.

Almost - you still have to watch out for the exact format, it's got to be 44100, 16 bit, mono or stereo. 24 or 32-bit won't work, nor will 48k or 96k. They're easy to convert with free tools.

Which is exactly what the 2k reads anyway.
