Akai Mpc 2000xl+Akai s950

Hello to everybody,I'm an Italian boy,so...sorry if my English could be "wack".
I know that there are thousands of topics about this...but it's a bit complicated to understand...anyway:can anybody help me to know how I can I connect(both midi and audio) the two Akais?

I have a MPC2kXL + S900.

MIDI Out A of MPC -----> MIDI In of S9xx. Play the pads on MPC... the pad corresponds to note number on S9xx. See the manuals for any clarification if needed.
Audio outs of each device into a mixer. Listen on headphones or monitors/speakers.

I also use the Aux out from the mixer to each samplers Input so I can sample between the units. Just be careful of the feedback loop created or your ears will hate you.

watch out as the 2kxl has its notes on the first pad set (Bank A) spread in no particular order, so you need to create a Basic Program with the pads assigned to the correct notes. Also, bare in mind that the s950 starts from note 24 while the 2kxl starts from 35.

yeh auto chrom a blank program on the mpc. and it will be assigned properly.

If you trun the track otput to Midi instead of Drum 1-4 then you can change the note number in Step Edit to 0-127.

some1 needs to make a sticky with some usefull PGM templates maped out and uploaded.

I think I may have some Bass that you can remove the sound for a blank template. Hit me up if you are interested. In the mean time, I'll look for where I put it because I'm in the process of getting organized.

on the topic of s950 and resampling to a mpc2000xl. whether you sample on the s950 first and re-sample to the mpc2kxl or just sample in the 950 and midi with 2kxl ( you lose wave graphical editing )..... Something used to do with my asr10 and no one talks about.

How about if you make everything in a lets say mpc2kxl and then once the beat is complete, just play the beat and run it thru the s950, mpc 60, emax before it goes to the daw? so the beat as a whole is covered with 12bitness, you can even mute shit in the mpc2kxl that way you oly color what you want in with the s950......feel me?
