I am in the market for a drum machine, and it came down to the mpc500 and mpc 1000..so i chose the 1000 because of the bigger display and more features,so im just wondering about a few things before i buy it.

-Can i use the 1000 with software on my PC like FL,Reason, etc...,and how would i do this connection wise?

-Can i grab samples from my computer,TV,Xbox 360,Receiver/Cd Player etc..also what connections would i be using?

Thanks alot for helping me out,its much appreciated

Peace.

yes. I believe you can use the MPC1000 as a midi controller.

the MPC has 1/4 inch inputs for record in so you'll need some RCA to 1/4 adapters and some RCA cables.

btw the MPC1000 is more of a sampler/sequencer than a drum machine.

yeah but all you can do is access the files on your memory card. the MPC basically acts like a card reader.

Yeah i know that was simple answers. HA HA Better to know now and instead of later. That way when the machine comes you are already 10 steps ahead. Also keeps you from asking a 101 questions ya digg. But take care. Dont sleep on my blog. .......
