hey guys, I'm new to the forum and just got a 60II with OS version 2.12 today. I'm having issues triggering a sample via the pad. I went over the sampling procedure countless number of times following the manual: SOUNDS>1 (sample new sound)>assign drum pad sampling into>proceed to record. I hear the input and hear the playback though SOFT KEY1 function. I checked to see if i got my drum mix levels all up and center, volume 100%, even reset to defaults and still get nothing. Any thoughts?

I have OS 2.12, i believe the first step is to assign it to a specific pad first, then you record the sample. I know on the latest OS it allows you to re-program the sample assignments like a 3000

overall, i think its the pads themselves. I tried troubleshooting with my Audio MIDI Setup through my MAC using a m-audio midisport interface, and it plays the sample when triggered by an external source but when pressing any of the pads on the MPC, there is no MIDI signal present coming out of the MPC.

if this is the case i mite suspect that a ribbon cable mite have become disconnected. Maybe open it up and make sure that all connections are seated properly.. Check all connections coming from the pad board and all others. Be careful opening the mpc tho and do this at your own risk. Goodluck

problem solved! opened her up and found that the paper thin ribbon that connects the pads to the main board somehow wasn't locked in properly. Thanks for the help!
