Timing Correct on MPC 1000??!!!

I'm going nuts trying to find the timing correct option. I'm talking about the posiblity to move your sounds within a sequence. For example on the MPC 3000 you can move your hihats a little sooner or later to match the flow of your beat ....In the 1000 I can't find it anywhere and it's not in the manual.

the best way to move all your hats would be to press mode+pad13 and scroll right until you get to 'shift timing' then select the notes (pads) you want to shift and the direction/amount.

If you look in the index if the manual under the letter "T" you will see the timing correct feature and what page its on.It in the manual I've seen it.

thats easy.....on the main sequence screen....hit f1....thats the timing correct screen....from there...u can choose 1/16 with whatever % swing 1/16 triplets...1/32 etc.....OR u can manually go into step edit (press mode - pad14) highlight the hit on the left hand side that u wanna move....hold down edit (f3) and while holding down edit press f2 which is the move feature. u can do alot for that seq edit screen

from his explanation, scant though the information is, i believe he means 'shift timing' which, as Lamp points out, is available in step edit or in JJOS in the grid edit, it's been so long since I've used Akai's os (never on my current 1k) I can't recall whether there's a separate 'shift timing' function in it, but i think not.
