yea for real man. the first thing it ask's you when you hit save a sound is what format to save it as. look at the screen before you hit the button. and for the record i just loaded a .snd file into cool edit pro v2.1 and it played just fine. so dont get mad when people give answers to a question you asked and it doesnt work for you.

Yeah, cep 1.0 and 1.5 seemed to not support akai snd's. When it turned into Adobe Audition I had no problems with akai snd's.

I'd say just dump cep and go to adobe audition, it has a much more rich feature set.....

Yeah Adobe Audition.... Is really great... i worked with Adobe for like 2 years before i got protools.... and the support is alot better......with all adobe products..... It runs the same as cool edit..maybe even easier workflow....

Trim screen maybe? Then Velocity up to 200 maybe? If that doesn;t do the job, go sample it again man.

Also, Audition 1.5 rocks the shit out of every middle range DAW. I've upgraded both to 2.0 and 3.0 and the multitrack of the 1.5 is still the best and most user friendly.

I'm pretty sure I've done that before, I might be mistaken, I don't have it loaded on this new laptop, when do get situated I'll load it again and see what's up with it.
