ive had my mpc 500 a couple months. Still dont know what im doing but i can tell you that the usb didnt require me to install any drivers from a cd on my win xp system.

Nothing showing up in the drive? Are you sure you have the memory card in?

Hope I was able to help.

Ok, it shows up in the safely remove hardware box on the lower right hand corner, but when I go to my computer I get nothing. As for the mem card I dont have one yet, but would I need one to do this??? Do these come with the mpc500??? also can anyone provide a link where I can get a good one??

Thanks

Yes that's exactly the problem! You need a memory card to do this.. you should get a 128 compact flash card with your mpc...

Just put in a CF-card and try it again... :D
