Hook your mpc up to the soundcard of your computer first. Second, use a recording program like sony soundforge, audacity or whatever you choose to get the audio into your computer. Play your mpc and at the same time make sure you're recording this within the program . Once it's in the computer, make sure it's in either .wav or .mp3 or somewhere on those lines. The rest is up to you as far as what you want to do with it. I can't tell you nothing more than that.

okay, so... if i wanted to go this route in using my MPC... i don't need any kind of MTR or anything, all i need is my laptop (which i already have a macbook pro, so the soundcard is decent already), the MPC, and some speakers/headphones? oh and i also already have a DJ turntable setup, so i'm good for sampling that way too although most of my samples will probably come straight off of my computer.

and, if i want to do it this way, should i just get a zip drive for my MPC2000XL (that i haven't bought yet) as my best option?
