JUST GOT A MPC2500 AND I NEED HELP

this is step by step of what i do: i sample stuff and trim it. then i hit the mode button and then i hit the sliders pad (which is pad 7) and then i change the high range and low range to give it that chipmunk sound but then when i go back to the main screen and try to record it on the mpc it goes back to the normal pitch. this is really pissing me off. is my mpc broken or is this some new stuff that i dont know about

I dont use this feature much, but you said that you try and record from the main screen - is this possible? I think you have to go in to record mode?

Dont mean to sound like a complete nonse - but have you gone thru the manual?

IN ORDER FOR YOU TO MAINTAIN THAT "CHIPMUNK" SOUND YOU WILL EITHER HAD TO USE USE YOUR 16 LEVELS ON EACH SAMPLE OR JUST CHANGE THE PITCH OF EACH SAMPLE IN THE PROGRAM SCREEN. WHEN YOU ASSIGN THE SAMPLE TO THE SLIDERS, ONCE YOU START RECORDING THE SAMPLE WILL CHANGE ONCE YOU MOVE THE SLIDER (IF YOU HAVE SELECTED "REAL TIME"). I DON'T EVER USE THE SLIDER FOR THIS PURPOSE.

RICK RICK is right. you have to pitch the pad in program mode. i'm not sure where you got the idea that you needed to use the q-links.

You can use the Q-Links, and you can also record them, but it's not as straightforward to push the right buttons for that.

yes, of course you can use the q-links to pitch samples and record it, but it's just not economical to do that in this case.

its not economical?? how much does it cost to use the sliders this way?? how much does it save you??
