OS 2.11 problem

so i looked this up, but couldnt find anything....i upgraded to 2.11 from 1.7 yesterday. now whenever i hit the play button i get CRAZY feedback. none though when i hit pads, all the files play perfectly that way. does anybody know wat this could be from? it all started when i tried to install 2.11 the 1st time, i installed the file without extracting it from the zip file i downloaded from akai. then i realized wat i did and extracted the file b4 doing it again (i noticed the file was bigger once i extracted it.). also, everytime i reinstall the os it makes the lcd contrast go really bright (blank) and i have to adjust it, is this normal or an effect of my **** from the 1st compressed file install?

If the file was still in a compressed archive format the machine wouldn't even be able to recognize it as an upgrade and would not be able perform an "install" in the first place. It wouldn't have done anything.

The contrast problem is normal.

Backup the info on you memory to your computer. Then try formatting your memory with the new OS..... Then reinstall all the files and see if it still does it....


I couldn't really picture/understand your problem, but hopefully it is beccause of the update and the steps I recommended take care of it....
