SO IVE HAD MY MPC 2000 FOR 10 YEARS NOW AND THE SOUND GOIN OUT OF STEREO IS ALL FCKED UP AND TRIED TO HAVE IT FIXED BUT THEY SAID ITS NOT WORTH TO FIX IT... ANYWAY.....
I GOT ME A 2000XL BLUE ONE WIT A MCD READER.. ONLY PROBLEM IS IS THAT ALL MY BEATS ARE ON FLOPPYS.. SO I THOUGHT I MIGHT HOOK UP A ZIP DRIVE TO MY OLD MP AND LOAD AND SAVE MY BEATS ON TO ZIPS AND THEN HOOK UP THE ZIP DRIVE TO MY NEW MP XL AND LOAD THEM AND SAVE THEM ON TO A FLASH
SO MY PROBLEM IS IS THAT WHEN I TRY TO SAVE TO ZIP THE MP FREEZES.. IVE NEVER USED A ZIP BEFORE AND IM NOT SURE IF IM SAVING IT CORRECTLY... I GO TO SAVE DEVICE AND TURN TO SCSI AND THEN IT FREEZES... CAN ANYONE HELP?? ANY SUGGESTIONS?? IVE GOT 10 YEARS OF BEATS ON THOSE FLOPPYS!!!!

WHAT DO U MEAN THE SCSI IS WRONG?? I GOT A IOMEGA ZIP100.. U THINK SOMETHING MIGHT BE WRONG WIT THE CONNECTION?? IS THERE SOFTWARE THATS SUPPOSED TO COME WITH THE ZIP THAT IM SUPPOSED TO INSTALL??

YEAH I DO HAVE A COMP... AND ALOT OF MY BEATS THAT IM CURRENTLY WORKING WITH ARE SAVED ON PROTOOLS.. BUT THERES ALOT OF BEATS I DIDNT PUT ON PROTOOLS YET

set the scsi id's up. the mpc is 6 so nothing else can use that, i can't understand how hard it is for people to transfer from zip to CF, if your havent got a computer, you,ll have to load from zip into the mpc ram and then re-save it to a new folder on the CF card. one by one. it takes times but worth it in the long run.

Yes WORTH IT ....... PREACH TO EM, NANO

no mechanical parts to mess around with
its quiet, easy transfer to computer....
and if you need to get sounds from zips, use an external zip.

Easy as Apple pie.........
