mpc groove ......can i get some?

i don't have and mpc yet, still saving
is there any place i can get some groove templates of the mpc "feel"
that i can use on my computer, or would anyone be willing to make me some midi files of the different groove or swing settings, i klnow it is a reach, but if i can't have the thickness and phattness yet, i wanna at least be able to play with the groove, jus wishfull thinking

The swing on Fruity Loops is pretty nice, and if you have the latest version (4.5.1, i think), the piano roll has MPC groove templates you can apply.

yeah, i have been using that thus far, i was just wondering if there was a major difference, i like the swing in fruity and the mpc grooves, i was jus wondering if i could come up on the authentic grooves and see if they are any different

if any of you guys got like some simple drumloops with the swing set on them mabey i could load them on recycle and extract the groove, if anyone is willing to share, mabey a few different settings, i won't use your loop ( unless you got some phat drums that need to be sampled )

In my opinion, swing is swing... But there are a lot of dudes that swear by the MPCs swing/groove settings. The only advantage to the MPCs swing to me is that you can apply it to individual tracks (on FL its global).

of course you've come to that realization after having used an mpc, i have never owned one so all i know is what i hear made on one, i guess, i wanna see how it works on my track, am i missing anything or am i jus caught up in wanting what i aint got, i love fruity, and my board as well, the mpc swing would be and added tool, i jus hear so many cats say it so different than anything, i want to hear it on my tracks and judge for myself

Every single sequencer will have a different sound and swing. MPC is so popular because of the tightness and its swing is somwhat trying to emulate a real drummer. All the original Linn drum machines and mpc's were designed to give this type of feel. You cant get this from fruity loops.

yes you can....with a bit of fiddling with the parameters.....thats and its fabled "swing" comes from how you program your beats and what you tell the machine to do....if that was the case then eveyone would have a hot sounding beat out of the box........

pro tools will emulate the mpc' swing. It actually say's MPC swing and you can change the percent. works just like the real deal, I know I own the xl. It also emulates a hand full of other sequenser groovs. pro tool is the shisnit.

Anyone tried Emagic Logic? That has loads of great swing patterns which u can apply to midi and audio. Granted not the easiest program to use, and a little fiddly. but once you have yr midi sequence swinging just fix quantize and save to disk, bang into yr MPC. load up the sequence and your done.

Also has some other really nice Midi features.. create crescendos, half time, Randomization, to name a few. if anyones interested i will post some more stuff
