pro tools question

hello, i have a mbox mini and pro tools le, i know it only lets me record one track at a time. Thinking about upgrading to a digi 002 rack. would this be a good move, considering i do not have 8 outs? do i need 8 outs to be able to record 8 at a time? is this easier than i am making it out to be?

c'mon somebody's got to be able to help me.

Think your way through this bruh. How could you *individually* record 8 outs at a time without having 8 *individual* outs?

Get the 8 outs man. Check out Presonus Fire Pod. Much cheaper than the 002 with the same sound quality.

Yes sir. It has 8 inputs and comes with Cubase Le.

Find the one that has the specs you want/need and maybe a few more specs than you need cause as you get better you will wanna get bigger with your ideas, you know give yourself room to grow, if your pockets allow ya dig.....

when you find the one you think is worth it, or find a few that you are interested in, see if you can find a place to demo them and listen to them with a range of different music, sounds, whatever.

hows the learning curve for cubase, i have a little experience with protools, but none with cubase?

There is no learning curve with Cubase. But, I only use it for tracking then I convert to wav files. I also have the M-Box1- ProTools but as you know it only has 2 inputs. I do all my mixing in PT becuz that's what I started with. One thing thats super dope about Cubase...The bounce to disk isn't in realtime like PT. You can bounce an entire song in 20 secs but in PT your bounce will be as long as your song is 3:43 or 10:15 sec and that sucks. Digidesign really needs to fix that.

Think i am going to go with that presonus, seems like the best for the money, and might use PT to mix.

good choice..... Get the best parts of Both worlds... Cubase and PT are not that different......

Son, you all good with what you got if you patient enough to record one track at a time... I got the same thing, Mbox2 mini, & I'm STRAIGHT... Long as you got Pro-Tools along with your MPC? You are forever straight, dog..
