yea i was thinking of ditching the akai out of frustration but then i started thinking...whats better...nothing...every other machine has a shitty sequencer and everything else is gonne be alot less user friendly.if yall both got new mpc's i would def send it to akai.otherwise VST services for repair.

if you sell your akai what machine are you looking into @ spacetime

I don't thing that anyone should ditch AKAI because of the headphone problem. If you look on any forum, that is a lot of the discussion. **** that is f***ed up with the product. that is why the forum is here. anyway did you guys try hooking up the headphone output to your mixers input and see if that works. It could be a number of things. usually it is a setting or the quarter inch headphone ($2 at radio shack) adaptor that is messed up. look at your output and pan settings. make sure they are on stereo and pan is in the middle. also are you guys using the mpc standalone or so you have other units plugged into it?
