erasing a sample

i tried to record a sample and ended up recoerding all of my sample space. what do i do

Go to program mode where you've assigned the sample, hit the pad where it's assigned, turn the wheel back so no sample is assigned. Hit the purge samples button. Tada.

Otherwise, you can go to Trim mode and hit window button when the sample is selected, and select Delete Sample. It's fairly logically laid out.

i never assigned the sample to a pad because there wasn't any sample. on my load screen it still says that my "sample" size=1722kb. i went to the trim screen and opened the windowkey and press delete and nothing.

Did you select the Sample Name field (top left)? If there's nothing there when you turn the wheel, then you don't have any samples in memory.

enter TRIM mode.
put the cursor in the upper left corner of the screen and turn the data wheel to selct the sample you want to erase
hit the WINDOW button
select DELETE (f2 i think) and hit DO IT.
it's gone now.

Did this, 3 times, in fact, and each time I rebooted, there it was 'Program 01, and sixteen samples. They will not erase under any conditions. I have deleted them in every way possible way, and each time, I reboot, there they are.

You'll need to SAVE ALL PROGRAMS AND SAMPLES to INTERNAL MEMORY after purging all sounds and programs. This will erase the flash memory. An easier way around it is to simply disable autoload (Load mode, window key, turn wheel till it says OFF) This will result in a Program01 loading with no samples at all. When you load up your own samples, be sure to create a new program rather than fill up Program01
