Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hey, anyone know any reason this shouldn't work in an XL?

2.5" CF SCSI Drive

I would guess that you need the converter that midicase talks about.

Plus the cost of a flash drive, you are looking at a significant investment... but it's all solid state which is nice. And you can still keep your Zip drive for backwards compatibility, nostalgia, whatever...

Later.

Well, I know for sure that the same thing for IDE connected to the MPCs ATAPI interface does not work, so I strongly assume this won't do it either. The MPCs OS is very specific when it comes to storage devices that can be connected.

I thought the MPC can't determine external SCSI or internal SCSI so it was more forgiving. I'd like to hear of any failed attempts to avoid blowing unnecessary cash. A tried and true reader might be the better way if this is questionable. Everything SCSI is so expensive now, dayum!

Just do an atapi reader and be done with it.

It's not about internal or external, it's about the drive, its interface, necessary drivers etc.

And SCSI stuff is cheap actually, you get thrown to death with it on eBay...
