alright ye all,

i`ve got a bit of a tricky one involving the old midi! (its a bit like girlfriends, takes ages to understand, great if its doing what u want and a total pain in the a$$ if preventing you from recording tunes!)

i am trying to send a program change message to my keyboard to tell it to change to strings.

i`ve got good knolledge of general midi but am struggling here.

the channels, local on/off , send recieve etc are all set correctly and i`ve tried varius settings and even got out the manual!

i`ve got the program change inserted in the seguencer edit but cannot put in the required info as its only showing the last field i.e;

PROGRAM CHANGE :1

but I Need to send this...

MSB LSB P.C (prog change)

:0 :122 :48

i tried just sending the :48 at the start of sequence but nothing happens, i can do all the other functions like dwell and damper, pedal, volume etc. but the prog change seems not to be responding?

the 48 is what i need to send to my keyboard to change to strings i`ve change the above field (PROGRAM CHANGE :1) to PROGRAM CHANGE :48 in the setting in mpc but not workin

the keyboard is a yamaha P-60 and yes its midi chanel is correct and its recieve control changes is turned on.

i`m stuck

any help very much appreciated!

i wont hold my breath though, i`ve been battling thru midi implimentation charts for hours now and tried everything!

please help! 8)

Try in Program field and set it to No. 48 then press the WINDOW button to open the program change section...Turn on Bank select and then do your MSB (CC0) and LSB (CC32),

good luck, good fun.

hmm very strange?

i just had mpc on all morning trying to figure it out then broke off for lunch
when turned it on again the program change was workin fine!

all i can think is that i must have changed a parameter by a mistake or even muted it lol, thats my usual trick
the old solo on off track mute hillarity.

thanks for your input though , much appreciated
