Midi issue

I have my midi connected correctly to my roland xp 30. However, the mpc only recognizes the notes i play when the keyboard is in perform mode. Perform mode has all the sounds the keyboard originally came with. I want to access my bass sounds from the bass card i installed in the keyboard. How can i access the expansion boards within my keyboard? Any suggestions?

Dont know much about the 30 but i own a 1080. In perf mode i have 16 parts and each part can load whichever sound i want. But even if youre not in performance mode you should be able to send out midi signals so id recommend you check out the rolands manual...

Either way i dont think it has to do with the JJ OS or even the Mpc so this thread belongs to the studio environments subforum, better chances to get a better answer too.
