Nwe beginner but quick learner

I just got a mpc i have my keyboard going threw it what i want to know is
if i want record sounds off of my keys onto a track in my sequnce let me know HElp please.

What do you mean by "i have my keyboard going threw it"? Through it how? If you want to sample the "audio", connect the outs of your keyboard to your record ins on your MPC. If you want to play the audio from your keyboard and just record the notes of the sequence in your MPC, MIDI is your friend.

okay this what i mean i see guys on youtube lay a drum session down. Then they go to there rack mods and get strings or bass from there to add to the sequence. How do you do that.

It's called MIDI.

rack audio out -> mixer audio in
mpc audio out -> mixer audio in

rack midi out -> mpc midi in

Mixer audio out -> powered monitors

mpc controls the racks internal sound triggering via midi

What you hear (audio) is the rack and mpc audio together from the mixer maybe.

Via midi, the mpc can record the triggereing of notes from itself and from the rack.
After making a beat on the mpc when you hit play you hear (audio from the mixer)
the playback of mpc AND rack triggered notes. All these triggered notes from the
rack are recorded on the mpc as a "midi track"....

That is just the basics of the tip of the iceberg for midi, there's ALOT more you can do with it
but that is generally what you saw on the video and what you were wondering about...

That's the ONE reason why I can't stand dudes making videos and then leave MADD ass
question to be asked, cause they claim "it's a tutorial" but they just flauntin a beat
without explaing the inards of the route, hookup and production.

For those that DO explain it step by step, I trully applaud them.

You are so right homie, this is good note to take for a head startyer like myself. Hey i have another question. How do i delete all these pre sets in my mpc 1000 so i can have more space for samples and my own drums.

But not if you don't connect the MPC Midi Out to the rack's Midi In, right?
