No it's not. You can only sample in 12Bit on the S950. You have been answered that question before, dude.

on the topic of s950 and resampling to a mpc2000xl. whether you sample on the s950 first and re-sample to the mpc2kxl or just sample in the 950 and midi with 2kxl ( you lose wave graphical editing )..... Something used to do with my asr10 and no one talks about.

How about if you make everything in a lets say mpc2kxl and then once the beat is complete, just play the beat and run it thru the s950, mpc 60, emax before it goes to the daw? so the beat as a whole is covered with 12bitness, you can even mute shit in the mpc2kxl that way you oly color what you want in with the s950......feel me?

please add thoughts.

thanks.

yeah..makes alot of sense.but their is a coupe of reasons why to stick with s950 midi to 2000xl...i think.see the s950 has options when your sampling to choose bandwith...that alone is an extra plus cause u can actully hear the difference of samples when sampling and messing with the bandwith.the other is the s950 has a good filter unlike the 2000xl is not too bad but, not as good as the s950...thats just a few of what i can think of.an i dont nothing cause ive only had this machine fo like 1 week.but then again you can just use the s950 to sample drums, run basslines thru it,instruments...etc. you dont have to use it with the 2000xl.Im actally think of sticking to my asr-10 midi with my 2000xl....that set up makes alot moe sense!!!
