Hi there all.I'm new at the mpc world and I'm between those 2 I'm writing electronic music and I want as much step sequences as possible and I want to sequence as much synths as possible..Someone who can help me out to this..??Thanx!!

for as low second hand 2500's go for. Comfort of 2500 is well worth it. it will only be 200-300 more than mpc 1000 if you patient enough

YEAH MAN THAT 2500 WILL BE PERFECT.CD ROM DRIVE,8 OUTS, MCD DRIVE..........NOT MUCH DIFFERENT FROM THE 1000 BUT SHURE HAS A COULPE OF LITTLE MORE THAN THE 1000.

Both can do eletronic music, both can do step sequences.

Only you know what excatly you want and how your production flow is, figure out the differences between the 2 and go for whatever will fit you better.

This shouldn't come into the equation.
Its a sampler.
If preloaded sounds are that important to you, go for a Roland groovebox thingymajig.
For the record the preloaded sounds on an MPC are mostly mediocre.

agreed try an electribe by korg if you want preloaded sounds
