Huh? Are you trying to add vocals inside the MPC? Are you using a vocal sample or something you're recording yourself? You wouldn't want to record vocals into an MPC1000, that's not what it's for. You'd want to track or export the beat into a DAW or a 4 track tape machine or a digital recorder of some type to record vocals over your beat.

Yeah I kind of get what you are saying. You would put the vocals in the same way you put your samples. If you're importing them via USB make sure they are the correct file type (wav) and sample rate (I can never remember what that is as I always sample directly through the inputs, but it's in your manual). If you imported the samples, try playing them on your PC and sampling them into the inputs. If you made a beat you were able to get samples in there, you would get the vocal samples in there the same way...

I have all the samps in the mp!

the sample that i used, and chopped has like 4 words in it... I chooped those 4 word so when i hit a pad it says the word...

but the problem is that i cant record that, over a beat I already recorded... they play but not the way I want them 2 play... most of the time they jus get cut off or I dont even hearem...

I know theres a way to do that!!!

oh ye!!! thnx 4 the respons:D
