Question about the SCSI port on 3000

Does adding an internal zip drive prevent the rear SSCI port from fuctioning? I might buy one with an internal zip drive, and order a external SCSI flash card. Wondering if I have to open this thing up or not.

Yes the rear port is no longer functionable when you do that to any MPC for that matter.

Yes it is I have done it. What you need to do is order two of the internal / external scsi adapters, that way you can have a scsi port out of the rear as well. You could put in a internal card reader and use the rear scsi for external zip drive.

So you have a Internal Card Reader where the floppy was & a Zip Drive hooked up to the SCSI port on the back and when both are being used you can save & load fine to both and everything huh?

No i have a internal zip where my floppy was. But my external scsi is still functional out the rear for external zip or external card reader. I will put in a internal card reader when my zip breaks .....

My machines have internal card readers and the external scsi still works, all you need is a ribbon cable with two connectors on it...

Cool I jsut wasn't sure if this worked but makes sense.
