Reason 4 vs MPC...need your help guys

Hey guys....i currently use Reason 4 sample with. I use recycle to chop it up and use the NN-XT to play back my samples. I have never used a MPC , but have heard that it has real time stretching compared to Reason 4 which doesn't. Aside from the work flow on a MPC , what other advantages does it have over reason that would be worth getting a MPC? Is sound quality any better? The Sampler any Better? I currently am using reason 4 with a MPD24.
I was leaning towards buying the MPC 1000 or the 2000XL later this week so i am kind of torn on whether to use the money on something else. Thanks in Advanced guys.

i started with just reason...
then i got an mpc...

and i regret waiting so long to get one...

you can basically do the same things with the two,
but i prefer hardware over software.

i don't know exactly what else you have other than reason,
so until you get a mixer, compressor, mbox, or effects etc...whatever
it'd be a good idea to use both reason (other software too) and an mpc together,
because the mpc does only so much for sample editing...

I don't have a Mixer , or a compressor...just MPD24 , Axiom 25 , and a Fast Track USB sound card. I just use reason 4 and have tons of VSTs. I'm just trying to find an excuse to get me a MPC i guess...lol

Not sure if i should use that money i would be using for a MPC 1000/2000XL and get a Mbox or save for a Fantom/Triton...or just use the MPC with Reason 4. Are there any advantages to using the MPC with Reason 4?

i'm just saying, if you don't have any other hardware,
then using ur mpc with other software is cool...

reason has all the "virtual" hardware you don't physically have...
edit your samples with reason.

and u can download the soundforge demo and fool around with it too...

I guess my main concern is having redundant gear. If i use reason 4 with the MPC its basically like using the MPD24 with reason 4 right? I'm assuming the sampling and sound quality from reason is just as good right?

let me break this down for you. kinda like carbs.

reason has a sequencer, and the mpd is your controller.

mpc has a sequencer and controller.

do you want software or hardware?
well, with an mpc, you get both.
if you buy an mpc, and use it correctly, you'll love it.

now this should make it really easy:
buy it from guitar center, try it for 30 days,
if you decide that it's not for you, return it.

Wavosaur and Goldwave are freeware wav editors..

If you guys need software i have everything you need i have reason refill which have fantom motif and triton banks. drop me a note for a list
