Cool Edit Question...

I don't normally like two post the same thing on two different forums (I just put this up @ UGHH.com), but this sh*t is bugging me bad...



I just picked up an M-Audio Quattro, 4-in, 4-out. I got it so I could record 4 tracks at a time into Cool Edit, but I can't figure out how to assign each of the 4 inputs to a different recording channel.

When I used to use my MobilePre to record (only 2-in, 2-out) I would just assign the Left input to Track 1, and the Right input to Track 2. But when I click on record devices on any of the tracks in Multi-Track mode, it still only lists R, L, or stereo as the only options. I figured since the Quattro has 4 ins it would give me more options than just L, or R.



Anybodyhave any experience using a Multi-Input audio interface with CEP/Audition ?

not sure I track 1 by 1 but check your device order properties OPTIONS>DEVICE ORDER make sure your new card is the only one listed on the right side menu other then that dont really know man good luck

Thanks for the help, but I just found out last night that the Quattro can only do 4-in, 4-out when its using it's ASIO driver. CoolEdit doesn't support ASIO, only MME, so i'm stuck using 2-in, 2-out...

I got a Quattro also and it sounds good. It has given me no latency; at least that I notice and I run about tweenty tracks on Cubase SX.

Dope. Glad to hear something good about the Quattro... Seems like I been hearing mostly bad reviews since I bought it . I guess im gonna have to start using Cubase if I wanna record more than 2 tracks at a time...
