OK so this isn't just a stupid question "can the mpc make breakcore?"
i know production is more What you do with something than Equipment you use...BUT
i'm struggling to make what i'm hearing in my head on computer software (ie renoise)-there's too much programming involved and i'm in this to MAKE MUSIC not PROGRAM.
So I feel like a machine like the MPC is what I want-I want to PUNCH IN the noise i want, and not have to think about programming the sound on the right sequencer line. I'm a highly creative person, always hearing stuff in my head and the MPC seems to be the quickest way to get electronic sounds straight from the head into airwaves.
So my REAL QUESTION IS---Is the MPC capable of the following?
1. Time stretching - from minute amounts to Extreme stretching?
2. Sampling itself - so i can take a long/complex sequence and store it as 1 sample?
3. Unorthodox time signatures
4. What's referred to as "retriggering" in renoise at least-taking a tiny selection of a sample and looping it to create insanely fast drumrolls.
5. Quality, Easy, straightforward sample chopping
6. Laying out an entire song w/ different patterns.
I'm really sorry if these are obvious questions..but I want to hear an answer from real users. I don't trust a company's website to answer my questions as I've been duped into buying hardware before thats not as good as they make it seem.
And I'm not asking about a specific model, cause I'd like to know the model I'd need to do what I've listed and a little more
Thx
