Sometimes, I like to play with track mute to change up the monotony of the overall beat I make, so I tried to record from the MPC into my Firewire LIVE, swithching back and forth from sequence to seq. It sounds fine when I do it, but the playback has pops and some other distortion noises, so the whole recording has to be done over. When I convert song 2 sequence, the time correction seems off where the end of each individual sequence used to be. As far as I know, you can't do anything in SONG Mode other than assigning sequences and changing # of repeats. Any ideas?

what I mean is that, instead of cutting parts (or events) from the sequences after the fact in SEQ. EDIT mode (which I am not extremely good at), I wanted to use the TRACK MUTE function throughout the duration of the song. The only way to record this way is to manually scroll from sequence to sequence, and use the track mute whenever I like to. It sounds fine live, but the recording has pops and noises that I can't figure out. If I wanted to work with the whole song as a sequence (and I never use the timing correct unless I have to), what seems to flow nicely in Song Mode ends up being off-tempo as a sequence. It's like, after the first 8 bars (SEQ 1), there will be a skip at the end of where sequence 1 was and the beginning of sequence 2.
