i tell you some of the best digging places are house clearance sales!
sound stupid but old people who pop off (r.i.p) quite often have tons of vinyl in the loft in box`s. normally its jaz and early blues and orchestral

i went to a house clearance auction for music and musical items, like grama phones and massive old record players and thay has sh1t loads of old vinyl going for hardly nowt!

got some dodgy jaz with dope trumpets and sax on em, also some really long strings orchestrals with that 50`s vinyl scratch..b.bump scratch bbump going off in the back ground. and some trumpet sounds that sound amazin with a bit of filter and delay on em!

classic!

similar to when the record is on display but not for sale, the worst is when they play something you never heard before and its dope but not for sale. AHHHH!! I guess it just makes you hunt harder though.

when people come dig next to where i am digging...

when the record is good but the cover is moldy and falling apart and is a health hazard for your home enviroment...then you have a choice.

old ladies drinking tea, trying to justify that £10 asking price for Arrival by ABBA.

Seriously people might think your'e exxagerating but in the Save the Children in Clapham High St they were asking £15 for the Arrival RECORD SLEEVE!!!!!!
It didn't even have a fukin piece of vinyl in it.

I got so angry I tried to make one of the staff see how crazy that was.

But they just don't care.

Being old can't be the reason. I think they are often stupid/greedy

yeah there poor people stealin froM the poor to give to the poor. DONT MAKE SENCE!!

theres alot of records that only the cover is worth money, we sold a few beatles records that didnt have a vinyl in it but the covers where mint , they sold for 135 175 each just for the cover.

actucally if you check the price guides they just give you a rating for the cover not the vinyl, the record is only worth more if the cover is in good shape the record sometimes dont matter.

but to me and other we think different it's the music were after not the cover.

...when you forget how bad it is to shop for records with a non-record person (especially if it's your girlfriend), and you just wanna pop in for a second and they don't realize that really means an hour and then even if you don't really want any records you feel you need to justify this detour from your precious saturday plan and so not only do you spend too much for some record you didn't want but now you're late for dinner and you'll have to hear about it for about forever...

...or something like that lol

Seeing stereo pressings of Beatles records in, at best, Good condition for $50+...just because it's "The Beatles." Come on!!
But it's the same place that I picked up a couple of $1 Mancini records and a nice $3 copy of Hank Crawford's "Help Me Make It Through The Night." I guess that's how digging is.
