Whatup all? Just got my brand new 2500 but I've never really messed with a production machine like this. What I'm trying to do is use it for is a live performance. I'm trying to assign sounds from the different pre-loaded programs to the pads but its not sticking. Is there a way to assign the pads sounds from different programs and save that as a pad bank?

Welcome to the MPC world. Without wanting to sound rude, but this and a lot of other questions you are probably going to ask will be explained to you in the manual of your machine. And it will probably even be quicker than waiting for an answer in here.

Thanks for the welcome! I was looking through the manual but can't find what I'm looking for. I'm probably just missing it or something.

I haven't used an MPC in a few years (should be picking up my 2500 today) but yes, this is possible. I forgot the process though. I do remember that it'd not something that is hard to do. So like dude said, check the manual and then come back if u still need help.

First off load the sounds u want, u can do this by hittin mode and then Load. dependin on if u have a HD installed already, or a memory card, or if u are using the internal memory, u simply highlight the "load from field" and select which storage u want to load from. then move the curser to "View:" and select wether u want to load sequences, samples, etc. move the cursor to "FILE" press "window" and then navigate thru ur memory for the sounds u want with the cursor. u can preview em usually with F3. when u Press F5 to Load it will ask u if u want to assign it to a pad, hit the pad u want to assign it to or use the cursor, but be u select the Pad Bank u want to put it in first.

Hope this helps.... Lemme know
