I AM 100% Lost with my mpc 1000

I just bought this mpc 1000 and everything is set up.

i loaded up my first sample its about 15 seconds and now want to chop to up. i've watched all the tutorials i can find and all that stuff i just cant figure this out. can somebody please help me out i legit need step by step instructions n actually making the whole thing come together. i need help with the following;

1: actually chopping p the sample.
2: assigning the chopped sample to pads.
3: recording that sample
4: recording drums etc. over the sample

i pretty much need help...... MAKING MY FIRST BEAT

Oh wow.

First tip: Take a sample shorter than 15 sec.

And watch some videos on YouTube.

Im sorry if you have the manual and have watched the videos nothing we can say will help you here. You will find this is a no hand holding forum and you are going to have to learn to do that on your own man. Its the basics of a mpc if you cant figure it out maybe you should put it down because it only goes downhill from there. Mpc's are not for everyone.

Now, go and download the manual for your machine from akaipro.com. Read, don't skip stuff, but read and follow along on your mpc at the same time, push the buttons that you read about and you'll be fine.

If you skip stuff and come back here asking basic stuff we'll know, and you take a chance on getting clowned by possibly the entire populace and we don't want that now do we? No, so get a manual and familiarize yourself with the basics cousin...

exactly i remember when i first got my MPC...shiit i thought id rip it outta the box, hook it up, and make the dopest beats i had ever heard in my life........well no ...it doesnt work like that....it shouldn't.
the only simple way for you to learn all that stuff is through Time...and more Time.

I got fully functional with my MPC in a week. But I been on the computer bout 4 hours a day basically searchin thru every forum on the internet, readin readin READIN.

lol i got food stains on my dammn manual cuz i didnt even put it down to eat lol... can't wait to get my mixer so i can put some base/strings/synths etc. in my beats, i was on the internet the last 2 days tryin to gather information for the set up alone, cause the manual didnt really explain as much as i had hoped. but trust me this manual is cake compared to the manual for the motif es!

I use the "find" feature to death in adobe acrobat as well...

Now that i know this manual inside out, im kinda sceptical if i should invest in this "JJ OS" caus i myte lose certain features i been buildin on, and i gotta learn from scratch again

just take your time with her. u put luv into it u get luv back, im still reading my manual step by step button by button thats how u learn and keep learning, i had my mpc since end of last year and i was frantic as hell started postin beats and all. til i got some feedback and that change me, so like i said JUST TAKE UR TIME....cause these guys will let u have so read the manual,read tha manual,read tha manul.......PEACE
