Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hey All,

I have been saving my sequences and songs exactly as the MPC2000XL manual says to, however, when I shut down and reboot, the data is lost. Actually, only one sequence that I've saved has come back every time. I save everything the same way that I did this one.

Is there something simple I am overlooking? I usually go to Save, then Save all Sequences and Songs. I'd like to create a separate folder for songs verses Samples, however, I haven't figured that out yet either.

I'm using compact flash drives.

Other than this, the MPC is a great unit and I'm very happy to own one!

You probably saved your sequence and it's set to load automatically on boot...

To create a folder you go to the save screen. Open window on root or the name of a folder in the upper right corner --> new folder --> enter a name...

Check what you see if you go to the load screen and browse your files/folders...

For a song, create a folder, save all your samples, files, pgm, aps, all EVERY FILE WITH THAT PROJECT in that one folder. 2kxl cannot find samples contained in other folders. Everything needs to be in the same folder together...

Save APS, ALL, PGM, Samples......Same folder.

Thanks Guys!

P.S. I just got to say that everyone at this Forum has been very helpful to a MPC noob...

Thanks Again,
