Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Does any one know the specs on the slider. If so could you post them so maybe someone could find an alternative to buying them from VST. I mean if you know what impedance the stem which sits inside the slider is you could probably go to Radio Shack and buy an ass of them for the price of ordering one. I am aware of how to repair the slider but i feel it would just be easier to just replace it. Rohan? Antonym? Anyone? thanx in advance. one.

P.S. if you don't have one by now, buy yourself a computer repair kit. It will save you time and aggravation, and stop alot of the injuries alot of you seem to get from trying these repairs. Just trying to be helpful.

There was a few different threads about replacing the nv slider, they were very indepth. I don't remember where they are exactly but you do a detailed search and you might be able to find it.

They had links, specs and everything..

These cross reference to the Akai part numbers and they're only $3.50. I actually just installed mine, so I'll post if there are any problems once I get the machine back up and running.
