Share your knowledge on these two classic MPCs

I'm still using OS 2.12 because I've not got around to upgrading. Is there anyway to convert PGMs to SETs or at least grab the sounds out of them? I've got loads of beats and breaks etc. chopped on my computer and don't really want to spend hours resampling every individual hit! I would like to use the MPC editor and then stick the sounds on a floppy and then convert them so the old OS reads them. Does anyone even use this OS anymore or have any floppy images with SETs?

Thanks in advance...

A pgm has no sounds in it.

It's only pad assignment, program assignment.

Samples are separate files...

Ok so if I spit out a file from the MPC editor onto a floppy, it's just the pad assignment. Is there a way then to create a SND file compatible from Wavs? I have no problem with creating my own SET files but the hassle of sampling 32 hits for each break I have is not really worth it in my opinion.

Oh and I guess the SNDs would have to be 2.12 compatible as well because Akai changed the format definition or something in later versions didn't they?

Awave can convert snd to wav. It's not freeware though.
