No such thing as a good compressor that's cheap. Unless you want your music to sound cheap...

It depends what you think is much money! But really nice compressor is a good and cheap one, 150-300 usd, Focusrite compounder 500-900 usd, dbx 266, 166, 100-250 usd. But it all depends what you are going to use the compressor for, drums, mastering, voice, bass. I have the compounder and it´s a first class compressor, transparant sound and very good at drums and on the hole mix. www.focusrite.com
