Selling beats to rap artists

Ok i plan on selling beats in about two months and im not sure how to approach this.I know the people im selling beats to And one of them wants to do about a 5 song demo and he has radio connects should i stay away from this?Is it a wise idea or not to copyright my beats?I have the beats chopped up pretty good but i dont want to take any chances!!!I dont know jack about exclusive rights and non exclusive rights.

Get your ASCAP or BMI first. DL some contracts, get a lawyer. Find out his budget. Get your sh!t copywrited. Allthough I dont know if you can get your sh!t copywrited if it contains samples unless you get them cleared first. I dont know

What is a ascap or bmi?Do you sell beats with samples in them?I was wondering how the cats on rocbattle.com sell there beats I might join that site and sell from there!THey sell there shit on there with samples.But i heard with non exclusive rights they buy it and use it once and only once...This shit is complicated!!!

First of all you dont have to ask me three times. Secondly. Dont sell anything untill you read up about your craft. How are u supposed to sell beats or get in the "game" if you dont know anything about the business side? Their is a book called "Music Law" and also a book called "Everything you need to know about the music industry" Read up FAST.

Also if you go on wikipedia here is some search topics for you to read up on

as far as i`m concerned you should get your music out there any way possible, if you wrote it then u automatically own the copyright to it as long as your samples don`t infringe on anyone elses copyright.

if your music is getting heard then its surely what u want!

whether its free or on radio if its good enough someone will notice and find you.

never shy away from getting your music hear`d there are thousands of artists giving music away so why would a raper sit about waiting for your decision when they can go get someone elses material.

don`t hessitate. get it out there!
as long as your name goes with it and a means to contact you then u can`t loose.

from a legal standpoint one has a copyright once a work is created.....however without proof of that copyright you have nothing

once a work is created YOU HAVE A COPYRIGHT

that copyright however is not provable in a court, thus the need to get proper documentation
