Do any professional producers use the 500 or 1000?

I find these kinda discussions pretty stupid since it all comes down to personal preference...It doesn't matter what gear you use as long as you know how to use it and how to make something sound dope. Some pieces color the sound more than others but in the end, it's the final result that counts...

NYM, I will let you chk my previous posts and maybe you can check a beat of mine out, all done on the asr-10 - after you listen to it, decide if you still want to battle. if you dont fine, if you do fine....but after I smash you, dont be humble, stay the way you are......happens all the time, I was called out here before, I posted something funky and then the half people with the big mouths kept quiet, the other half kept PM'n me asking advise on some humble talk.

and if it is the single dopest beat i've ever heard, like ever, it will NOT be because you used an asr-10.

I will actually dump something new just for you. and you can drop your beat, so you can see that you arent just talking to a beatmaker that takes a sample lets the mpc auto/chop then re-aranges the samples and lay drums on them......naaaaaaaaa duke you talking to someone that understands music.

Yes. I know a couple pros that use the 500 and the 1000, but they do not use them as their primary MPC. One guy I know uses his 500 to record samples from the places he travels to, and then incorporates the sounds into his music. He has a 2500 and a 4000, but ends up using the 500 because the latter two are comparably less portable.

There are differences in features, pads, effects, etc. between the 500, 1000 and larger models, but the sound engines are all the same (for the most part). There's no reason that a 500 couldn't be used as your center piece in your home studio.

I seen Lil john with a 1000 on mtv cribs when it showed his studio

I'm more fond of MF Doom, Madlib aka The beat Konducta style of production, makes beats more abstract and interesting to listen to. Unorthodox is other words

BUT it's more about the tunes than the quality of your equipment..if u were truly a good producer you could make cool shit on fruityloops
