Adding bass to my mpc songs..

Could anyone explain the best way to add bass to a beat Ive mad threw the mpc.. I'm under the impression that the mpc wont record the sound of a keyboard, just the midi notes. Is there any good way to add bass lines in the mpc so I can play it back with the mpc only. I only have the mpc and a turntable right now, but ide be willing to buy a cheap keyboard on ebay if I was able to add bass to the mpc.. Thanks in advance..

The way I got it connected is Record in (All the way to the left) to my Korg Triton. Then hit Mode + Pad 5. You'll know it's connected right when you hit your keyboard and two bars move. Adjust the volume, Hit record, and as soon as you hit the key it'll start recording. hit stop after you record the bass note you wanted, press play to see if it sounds right, hit the pad you want it to play on, then hit... I think the function is called "To Pad"... Bada bing bada boom... It should work!

go into programs, copy ur sample program. Rename the program bass or somethin. Go into params of that program and filter it to like 20 or 10. Then you have the bass of the samples. either play your own bassline from the bass samples or just copy the whole program and use the bass of the sample aite 1

So even if my sample is mainly like a flute it will still come off as bass if I filter it correctly? Seems to good to be true, Im definately gona give this a try...

If your filtered sample still lacks (some) bass, you can sample it again and eq it on your mixer (boost the bass, cut the mids & highs)...

I use one of the following:
- filtered bassline
- sampled bassline
- synth bassline from my jv2080 or siel mono

Experiment and see what you can come up with...
