As i am busy trying to find out howto do Sample DUMP over MIDI from S950
i am reading online manual...but its missing the end of the page ...

Here is the page:
"ADDENDUM TO THE OWNER'S MANUAL AKAI S900 DIGITAL SAMPLER
INITIATING SAMPLE DUMP FROM THE FRONT PANEL OF THE S900
A feature of the S900 which is not covered in the owner's manual is its ability to send and receive samples through MIDI. This will allow you to transfer sounds from one sampler to another device (sampler, computer, etc.) directly through the MIDI interface, instead of sampling the audio output.
Note: The S900 does not support the MIDI Sample Dump Standard (SDS). Instead, it uses a version of sample dump protocol which was set up before SDS became an part of the official MIDI specification. Therefore, the S900 cannot directly send or receive samples to/from other samplers which do use SDS. The S900 can directly communicate with the Akai S700, X7000, and S950 samplers, as they share the same sample dump implementation.
If the S900 receives a dump request message from another unit, it will begin sending the requested sample. Please refer to the MIDI System Exclusive documentation for the S900 for details on the specific commands which are necessary (available from IMC at the address below). However, if you should want to initiate the sending of a sample .using the front panel controls of the S900, here's how to do it:
(1) Press "Edit Sample". Select the sample you wish to send.
(2) Simultaneously press the "0", "On", and "Off"buttons in the keypad. When you do this. the screen will still appear the same, but the light over the Edit Sample button will no longer be flashing (it might be on or off, but not flashing on and off).
(3) Press the "Page Down" button (the one on the right, pointing down). The display will change to read "Sending Sample xxx Over MIDI", where xxx is the selected sample's name. When the sample dump is complete the display will return to the normal Sample Edit Page #1, but you need to do one more thing to return to regular operation:
(4) Press the "ENT" button. Now you can select another sample to send, and "
so what text is missing after "
(4) Press the "ENT" button. Now you can select another sample to send, and" is it of any importance?
If i can initiate a Sample dump fro S950 via MIDI cable than what should be on the other side of the MIDI : MAC, PC? what software?
i am on Mac OSX
anyone?
