Can anyone tell me how I would go about playing a chopped sample (for instance, a single guitar or piano note) across a keyboard chromatically? Can this be done with a MIDI keyboard controller, or even any (or most) synths? Sorry, I have nearly no experience with synths/keyboards, but am trying to determine what type I should get for what I'd like to do, if it's possible. Thanks.

The way i do it Is select a blank program and hit mode-program. go to where it says notes. start from the first number in bank A (35) and set all numbers in ascending order. takes about 2 min. Then name your blank program "Chromatic" and save it. When you turn on your mpc load that program and any sound mod you control will be chromatic or save your samples to the pads and the keyboard will play the note that the sample is on. Good Luck.

I dont fully understand your question. Do you want me to make this program for you? Yes you can make this program considering that I, and most others have. What file do you want me to show you?
