This is killing me: when you change a sound inside the layer section of a pad and then return to the GPE screen, the Sound originally assigned to that pad you just edited is replaced by another one... I wonder why...

ive been having it looooads!

Ok so

lets load 3 hats call them 1,2,3 and 3 kicks 1,2,3

Mode pad 7, lets layer the 3 kicks on A1 then use the arrows to go down to the hats on A2 after leaving the layer window you will find u now have kick1 replacing where u put hat1.

it happends to me a few times while tweaking various parts. and u do realise it when u double tap main to get back n check what u have done only to find your hat is now a kick and your snare is a hat.

yeah ... this is quite annoying. the solution that seems to work for me most of the time is to press the stop button and wait a moment, cos i don't seem to get this problem when i'm not playing a sequence at the same time. it takes me back to the bad old days of my korg s3 drum machine ...

Yup, me too!
BADMARK left a message in the bug post section. Us three have been talking about this for the past week...

I've been waiting for an update since.

It happens all the time, not just once, all the time!

For those, who didn't get it yet, here's what I'm doing:

01. Enter GPE
02. Highlight a Sample in 'Sample' column
03. Press [WINDOW] > Enters the Layer Section
04. Assign Samples to Layers
05. Press CLOSE
06. Boom, original sample is replaced by another one

hi Stan, yeah, now I see exactly what u mean ... i don't tend to layer samples (cos i'm a polyphony miser) so i hadn't noticed this ... BUT ... tho' this doesn't seem to work when you're playing back a sequence ... if instead of pressing close from the sample page you go to the amp or filter page then press close ... the samples seem to stay as what they should be

.... unless it's an INST program as i now realize ... think we're just gonna have 2 grind our teeth till v. 0.92 arrives

I've got to try this too because last night I had (in my perception) a phat start, but ended up turning the machine off because it was soo ramped that I couldn't take it any more. Samples were going all over the place cuz I was so sup'ed about the track.

with this problem this is working for me so far: in play mode, if you're messing about with different samples and layers ... when you're happy ... press STOP ... then press NEXT SEQ ... then press MAIN ... and yr samples seem to be safe from the random change effect
