Mpc 500 is most underrated

^ that's very cool. i just bought a tt01, it arrived today and i just got home from work...portability's a BIG deal for me! i'm gonna do a couple side by side comparisons of the tt01 to my ancient numark w/ a stanton 505 needle. if it's as good as/better than my current tt, i'll be thrilled. if it's slightly less good sound quality, i'll buck up and compensate w/ more overlay and smarter programming.

so yeah, that's badass. i was more talking about this often uttered "chop with your ears" mantra you see cropping up now and then, like a waveform is somehow not an asset. a poorly chopped sample is a poorly chopped sample, i don't care how it came to be, gnaw mean?

now, maybe an old sp303...

No, I know what you mean. I'm just saying that the only way as of now to have waveform editing on the 500 is to get a computer involved, and I don't think that's worth what I would be losing. If the 500 had waveform capabilites I'd most def use it as a guide.

Let me know what you think of both of your TTs. I'm looking for a new one, mines just a belt drive, and that's probably next on my list.
