Sandisk ULTRA II, 2.0g...and still no load

Wadu deal??? I got the 2 gig compact flash, and my bigfish disc's still wont load....{ inssuficient memory}....What next? Help please!!

You need the RAM expansion.
The CF card is only for storage.

What exactly are you doing? Are you trying to load one sample at a time or the whole CD? Most of the new big fish stuff is way too big. You won't be able to load it all at once. Try loading them one at a time & see how that goes. Also unless you fixed the bit rate on your samples they won't load anyway. The 2500 comes w/ enough ram to get you going so you should be able to load some samples. If you still want to upgrade your ram though I think it's a good buy.

But where can I upgrade it? How much is it? What types of places do the upgrade? And when I try to load a sound, say,... bass. theres nothing. not even a "ensufficiant memory" window.

What are you doing to load the sounds? If you aren't getting any sound out of your mpc then it has nothing to do with a ram upgrade. You have to make programs to play your samples. Go to the akai website & download the manual. It'll tell you step by step what to do to get you started. Learn w/ what you have first before you try to upgrade it. You might find out that you don't even need the upgrade.
