I know what was being talked about in regards to filtering, but what exactly is the low end theory. Is this theory documented?
Theories as I know them are things like the theory of relativity, etc.
Where can I read the low end theory written in words? What is the theory of the low end?

I'd say, just make a cope of you chops and create a program including a set of samples which are low pass filtered, and another set with band or high passed filtered samples. Try filtering the way, that you got a wide enough frequency space, so your drums can fit in there sonically. It's all about frequency ranges. And don't use SIMULT PAD! That's where the Phasing comes from, if you ask me. you can either Layer the samples or just record em twice from different pads or whatever.
Somebody said, low end theory was about using one original sample and adding a low pass filtered one to it.. That's not right, though. It's about keeping the bass and getting lost of the mids and/or highs, so there's more room, to give the drums more presence. Listen to old Buck town records and you get a pretty good idea, how it sounds.
