I enjoy looking at what other people find so here's mine. Today was a good day for digging. These first four pics are records I got from a guy who was selling his collection and moving. He sold each of them for $4, except the Al Hirt record. I got it off Ebay for $.99. A hell of a deal. I wish I had more money at the time He had a nice ass collection and took good care of them too. All were in plastic sleeves and perfect.









The next ones came from a guy who I saw when I was at the record store. He had bought a collection from a DJ and was trying to get rid of them. I got each one for $2.50 a piece. Again, wish I had more money. I would have taken the whole thing.









The last ones came from the dollar bin at GoodWill. All in all I'd say I came out pretty good.

but for your sake I sure hope you're not
that Babe Ruth record has 'The Mexican' on it
it's a really obscure record by a band tha tonly put out a handful of albums
but more importantly
that track is probably Kool Herc's signature breakbeat
and if its a OG pressing its hard to find in good condition

i'll stick by what i say, that record is overrated, just because it has "the Mexican" on it doesn't mean that whole record is good.

I was simply filling you in on the importance of that record in a Hip Hop context
if you dont like the record then thats fine you dont have to own it
