note repeat and how to check which os the 500 has

2 quick questions. my friend recently got a 500.

how do i check which os version it has?

also, i've had a 2000 and more recently a 1000. we are used to being able to use shift + note repeat so that it stays in note repeat mode and you can use both hands on the pads.

can you do this on the 500?
how?

im wondering if it was added in a newer os version.

i thinks it´s not posible to do that on the 500,i also have the xl and i really miss that.also for the os you have to see the OTHER mode.
