Same here, I thought the swing is what the MPC is known for. Can an experienced user chime in on this topic? Does the 1000 not have the classic swing quantize? I'd imagine that's not the case, that it DOES have it. Cuzshoot if it don't, I'm not buying one.

Word, recently i've been doing the same. I rarely use quantize anymore and i do hip hop fyi. As far as the whole MPC swing thing i've heard it before too but i cant really tell the differnce. I've had both an 2000xl now a 1000 and made music both with and without quantize.

When TC is utilized appropriately it can be good (hi hats, ghost kicks&snares), but when used predominantly it suks...imo....

No quantise here. Just aly it till its right.
