I see that musiciansbuy.com has them in stock and includes free Audio Tech Headphones. I was just curious if anyone has messed with one first hand yet besides the testers.

I am going to Guitar Center in Nashville this weekend to get mine. I decided to just get money out of my 4k and put it towards the 5000. Unlike many of you I am excited about this new product!

I don't think ANYONE in the general public has this yet, but I may be wrong.

That's correct. I guess it will be two/three weeks before shipping starts.

My boy has one but he helped create it and did all the kits & sounds for it and his is not a 5000 it's a 3500 with 5000 OS but the thing is pretty dope I wouldn't buy it personally just cause I am into vintage gear but it has some fukin dope functions.

Yeah, looks like they pushed the release date back once again... It's looking like the beggining of April.

It looks like the advertised sale price of the MPC 2500 was dropped to make room for the MPC 5000. The 2500 is now advertised at $1699 which means you can probably get them for as little as $1200-$1500.

Asked my dealer in today and the repsonse from Alesis was that 5k would ship later this month, but they haven't got it confirmed.

Guess we'll wait and see then...

Meanwhile, I've also got my eyes on the MV8800. Damn. It does look sleek! Time to make a decision...

Nope. I was told the same thing. I am hoping to get one before the end of May because after that I am moving to Asia where they don't even have the MPC 5000 advertised :?

Yeah...good luck, mate. Since I'm in Taiwan, where the 5k is supposedly made, I was hoping that I'd be the first one to have a 5K
