jj os on mpc2500

I have a question jj os for mpc1000 make your 1000 work with some capabilities like 2500, but what you can do with jj os on mpc2500?

They both have the same OS features, aside from the CDR functions found on the 2500.

That means that you can burn your tracks directly from the mpc to the cdr? or what does that means?

I'm not entirely sure what all the CDR functions are on the 2500 JJ OS.
So I'd recommend that you read more about it on JJ's website. Just look for the info through the sticky topic that's pinned at the top of this forum.

you can burn your beats using the cdr, but i never use it, i just use it to sample from a cd every now and then and to listen to music if i dont feel like turning the computer on

2500 also has 4 midi outs, 8 mono outs, 2 Q-link knobs, and flip up screen.

You can burn your music and rip from cds with the cd-r.

That's ok, but my question was, If jj os on mpc1000 turns your 1k with similar capabilities like 2500, what you can do with jj os on 2500? it turns your mpc like a 4000? what its the "extra"...

the argument "jj os turns mpc1000 into mpc2500" is bogus, a very very poor statement that i wish folks would stop using (i know, it's too late)

jjos for mpc1000 makes the mpc1000 better than the 2500 factory os, hands down a more powerful, capable machine. so, of course, the 2500 would also benefit from the functions added/workflow improved/etc from the jj os for the 1000.

it's the same os, just changed in very small to make use of the additional hardware in the 2500

no ideas, only guesses
i bet it will have to do with the the uses of qlink in TRACK MUTE though and/or the little CD player

what it won't be is "2500 ONLY" features, etc
that'd be very bad business and jj's too bright for that, esp when there are more 1000's out there than 2500s, and esp when the 2500 and the 1000 are virtually the same machine
