Tuning Samples (MPC 1000)

I just purchased an MPC 1000 (haven't received it yet) and was wondering if it is possible to tune samples, i.e. say I want to incorporate a sample into a beat I'm making, but the sample is in a different key. Can I tune this sample to match the key of the overall beat (in either the Akai OS or JJ OS)?????

yes you can do this. the mpc will not identify the two keys for you and auto pitch them so they are both in the right keys. but you can figure it out yourself and adjust them.

First of all, save your condescending message board talk for someone else. The MPC obviously does A LOT of things (many of which I have a basic understanding of). When you FIRST got yours, did you know EVERYTHING it did? The answer is no, no you didn't. You just like to jump on people whenever they ask a "novice" question. So next time, how about you simply answer the question and save the time you'd spend pecking at the keyboard and go make a beat. Peace.
