Does this ever happen to you?

HI man, I totally feel your pain on this one, but what I do is record myself drumming the pads to pro tools or any recording device and then sample the best couple of bars back to the MPC. This way i can find the tempo by looping a bar and then drum along with the loop. remove the loop at the end and you got your beat.
I really hate that bout the MPC but this way works nicely and you don't have to worry bout the recording of your beat either just as long as it's quick.
